Frequently asked questions

What overseas buyers and domestic importers ask us most often — minimum quantities, incoterms, inspection, documentation and lead times. If your question is not here, ask us directly.

What spices and dry fruits do you export from India?
Indian-origin green cardamom, turmeric, black pepper, cashew nuts and raisins are our regular export lines. If you need an Indian-origin product not listed in our catalogue, ask — we can usually source it through the same grower and processor relationships.
What do you import into India, and from where?
We import dried apricots and pine nuts from Afghanistan, nutmeg and cloves from Indonesia, black pepper and cassia cinnamon from Vietnam, and almonds and pistachios from the United States. In each origin we buy direct from growers and farmer co-operatives rather than through a chain of intermediaries.
What is your minimum order quantity?
It varies by product and is listed against each item in our catalogue — typically one metric tonne for most spices and dry fruits, and 500 kg for higher-value lines such as pine nuts. For a first trial order we can often be flexible; tell us what you need and we will say plainly whether it is workable.
Which incoterms do you work on?
EXW, FOB and CIF are standard for us. CIF is the most common for first-time buyers because it puts freight and insurance on our side of the transaction. Tell us your destination port and we will quote on whichever basis you prefer.
How do you assure quality before shipment?
The specification is agreed in writing before the order — grade, moisture, count, foreign matter and any lab parameters that matter for your market. We sample at source, arrange laboratory testing where the specification calls for it, and carry out a pre-shipment inspection before the container is sealed. What is quoted is what ships.
What documents come with a shipment?
Commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading or airway bill, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate where the destination requires one, and the laboratory or inspection report for the consignment. If your buyer or bank needs a document in a particular form, tell us before shipment rather than after.
Can you supply private label or custom packing?
Yes. Standard packing is listed against each product — usually 10 kg or 25 kg cartons and bags — and private label with your own branding is available on most lines. Custom packing affects the price and the lead time, so raise it with your enquiry rather than after the quotation.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes, on most lines. Samples are the sensible way to settle a specification before money moves, particularly on a first order. Courier costs are usually borne by the buyer and set against the first invoice.
What are your payment terms?
Terms are agreed per order and depend on the product, the quantity and whether it is a first or repeat order. Advance payment or a letter of credit is typical for a first transaction; repeat buyers usually move to terms once a working history exists. We will set this out in the quotation rather than leaving it to be negotiated at shipment.
How long does a shipment take?
Ocean freight from India to the Gulf is roughly one to two weeks, to Europe three to five weeks, and to North America four to six weeks, plus the time to procure and prepare the consignment. Air freight is available on high-value lines where the cost is justified. We give an honest lead time with the quotation.
Do you handle customs clearance?
On imports into India, yes — sourcing, inspection, documentation and clearance are handled end to end, and the goods reach you cleared. On exports we handle everything up to the agreed incoterm; clearance at the destination is normally the buyer's side of the transaction, though we will supply whatever documentation your clearing agent needs.
How do I get a quotation?
Send us the product and grade, the quantity, the destination port or city, and your preferred incoterms. The more specific the enquiry, the faster and more accurate the reply. Enquiries are answered within one working day, or call +91 75240 47566 directly.
